Family is very importand to me. I grew up in a VERY disfunctional household and I have vowed not to put my kids through that. I feel a family should be a close knit unit that looks out for each other even after everyone has grown up and moved out. My side of the family is very supportive of this but they are 150 miles away. My wifes family (with the exception of her parents) wouldn't get off the couch even if you set it on fire!.

The oldest and one of my favorites was a 1960 Nash Metropolitan. This is a car about as long as a VW rabbit and 2/3 as wide. These are cool cars because they have fender skirts on the front and rear. They look like a little bath tub going down the road. People were always amazed that a 6 foot dude could stuff himself into a little bomb like that.

yes. i had my lawnmower burryed in the mud for two days before i got it out, ..right now my blazers been stuck in a snow drift for a week, and we had a ranger so stuck we left it and about 4 weeks later we went back and drove it out after most the mud dried up.

yes, burried my s10 in cannaerts woods, took 2 days to get it out because we couldnt get the 4x4 to engage. tried another 4x4 blazer that coudnt yank it out, reverted to a comealong, a tow strap, and a chain and got it out with some wood planks ==roxx

Bad but with good intentions. I feel the automotive unions are responsible for the current mess the Michigan economy is in. I remember in the 70's and 80's when the Unions would make incredable demands for wages and benifits and get them. The workers back then were arrogant and demanding and felt they were untouchable. Due to the influx of foriegn competition (and quality) the American automotive industry was caught with it's pants down. I personally don't feel that a person with a 9th grade education and no skills deserves to make 30+ dollars an hour.

I was partying at my buddies place in Gregory, he just had a pole barn put up and there
was this sweet pile of dirt, perfect ramp.
After about a 12 pack of courage I hit it tached out 2nd gear in my dunebuggy,
and the crowd of about 20 people said I would have cleared his 30 ft wide bole barn
with 14 foot walls.
Landing did hurt, landed on right rear corner, blew out a drive axle and it slammed my battery and
pitched it out of the buggy.

yep sure did, when i went to take the nut off to change my front hub assembly after breaking 2 breaker bars(3/8, 1/2) i put the jack under the third breaker bar to take off a little pressure and after 6 hrs of fighting all it was was something that simple.

hmmm...wedged an old Dodge 3/4 ton extended cab long box between a couple trees (it wasnt crushing the cab all that bad, until the trees got between the cab and the bed, then the truck just wouldnt move in either direction), walked back to town, got a chainsaw and got the truck out...went a little further on that trail, and did the same thing....all in all, we were on the trail for about 12-14 hours...and it was only a couple hundred yards long...
maybe I shouldnt have been on a dirt bike trail with a 3/4 ton extended cab long box truck? ah, oh well....

driving a truck that I had bought new, it was about a year old...going down one trail right next to a river, with about a 6 foot drop off on my left side into the river, just a few inches from the edge of my tires, and trees scraping the right side of the truck...twisted and turned down that trail for a few hundred yards, and then it just ended...nothing...had to back all the way back out...if I can find the pic, I'll post it...I took a pic from the drivers seat and you can see the river, and in the side mirror, you can see the truck behind me, and that shows how twisty the trail was...

umm..."fixed" steering several times with duct tape, mechanics wire, and whatever else I had with me...hooked the hydraulic clutch line to the brake master cylinder once (didnt have brakes at the time anyway) patched the frame back togethor a few times...not sure what I would say was the most difficult...

The big block will give low end touq, good for grunt work, deep thick mud, the small block will give top end, good for fast bursts of speed helps keep the tires cleaner. A combo of both is best but $$$$$$$.

Depends on what you are doing with it bogging leaf springs are more stable but coil have more articulation. myself I would prefer leaf spings cause you can get more lift with them cheaper than coil.
