yup! we always know when its time to set up camp!
yup ive been there in the same situation bid daddys in up top!
A guy I went to high school with died because of spending the night in a stuck.
He went off the road into the ditch about 3:00AM, snow was to deep for him to drive out so he grabbed the blanket and curled up for a cold night, heater running, exhaust pipe under the snow.
Carbon monoxide got the best of him before morning traffic found him.
Yep, on a few diffrent occasions. My buddy drove his Durango into some ice like 4 miles into a power line trail at like 2 in the morning. I drove into a huge rut covered with snow in Bay City. Got the come along out the next morning and got it out. Learned a couple valuable lessons. Don't wheel alone. Don't drive over ice. Be careful in the snow and get a winch!

Never spent the night but close to it.It was middle of winter and we were wheelin at the power lines in Clio,Both of us were stuck and had nothing else to get out with.So we walked to my aunts house about 4 miles away.In the morning we went back and jacked up my blazer and struck wood under it.Then finally we got out.I am sure the car wash didnt like all the mud we left.
wasnt a serious stuck.. it was snow with my sonoma.. i had a sleepin bag in the back so i just stayed there till daylight... no more snow drifting alone. ==rofl

I havent but my cousins did, they got stuck while trail riding up in kalkaska county, so what they did was left the truck running in drive in 4hi and they just waited untell the tires melted the snow enough for them to get good traction. they said by morning they where on there way home. They consider them selves lucky only because they brought alot of beer for the trip. lol
well i told her we were stuck ==roll but when we drove out the next day after a good night she caught on ==roll
I've spent 13 hours in the woods once in my old S-10 blazer. went wheeling at 1am with 2 buddies. buried the thing in a swamp i didn't see till i was in it. had to stay the night cuz both friends were in a stock jeep with street tires. it took my buddies lifted F-250 alot of wood and a floor jack to get the ba$tard out...lol

Yes several times when I was still in school. Grew up by Saginaw Bay and when the wind would blow the water out we would go out wheeling. Never knew where the deep holes were and it was always at night. Had to wait til morning to get the farmers to come out with their tractors and pull us out.
well knock on wood i havent but had a buddy crash at my place for 3 days after i got stuck and we used his truck to pull me out he broke the front passenger side half-shaft on his 1500 dodge luckily we were able to call for a trailer and go wash the truck real well and use the warranty reckon he shouldnt have dared me to try it huh lol
Yes I hate to say! Unprepared and started a fire with the cigarette lighter in the truck. I just remember it was cold and she did not wnat to keep me warm! That was several years ago of course, now she doesn't go when it is cold.
yeah it happends walked out a few times left truck stuck over night !!! orange crush has saved my ars a few times thanks man !!!!!! one night it was a 90s monte that was a fun time lol
Me and my buddy left a bronco on a construction site one nite. we tried everything to get it out b4 dark. went back the next morn to get it out and there was a state trooper sitin at the beginning of the road 2 where the truck was, almost got a ticket!!!
Oh man yes back in the stupid years. The worst was when I had my 78 K-5, My girlfriend at the time wanted to try wheeling she had never done it before so I told her OK. Off to the Allegan woods we went, We hit the woods around 9 p.m. and was have a blast till about 11 when I tryed a two track that I did'ent know. Ended up driving right into a swamp no equipment what so ever to help get it out (only had a 4" strap and no one to hook it to). Well tryed to get a little with nother else to do any ways, that did'ent work the sound of all the mascetoos humming around the truck scared her she thought thay were all comming to bleed us dry. The next morr. I got enough wood and rocks to get trackson again and headed back to her house where her mom and dad were real happy to see us lol not. Never saw her again, live and learn (NEVER TAKE A GIRL OUT MUDDING IF SHE STILL LIVES WITH HER MOMMY AND DADDY).................................... a=f

your truck's spent a couple nights in those woods.
I took a buddy named wade, wheeling after work one day. He had never been wheeling before. (5PM) We started trip at the corner party store and filled the cooler. I have been there and don?t what to run out! We hit the trail . It was a lot of little water holes , trees rubbing the sides. I mean scraping!!(7:30pm ) Trail has been getting smaller and smaller as we go. We stopped lots for peeing , smoking and drinking along the way. I lost drivers side mirror on a tree took all the molding of the side. Running fall in trees over that where crossing this trail everywhere. We are making it threw this trail that I think has not been used in a very long time. (8pm) trail comes to this very steep hill going down can?t see the bottom. Looks to me. If I go down this hill I know it will most likely be morning before we come out. I tell wade. He don?t care , having the time of his life. Say I have a cell phone wade says if we don?t make it back up. That?s all I had to hear. Because I know it?s a long walk out. We went for it. But at the bottom of the hill there was this little stream of water running down the hill. The ground was like walking on water with roots to hold you up. Well I did not know the ground was like that. There we sit. I had to start laughing when I opened the door and the ground was right there. Wade says are we stuck.(8:15) Start calling your buddy?s It?s going to be a long night. He did not have very many to call and when they found out where he was they said they were not coming. I called the one guy I can call when I get stuck and he will come to the rescue. Got to love family! Great uncle! He came to the rescue but with a truck that had a winch yes! But a rod knocking . He winched his way back in the woods over the trees and down the hill. Truck sounded very bad and like it was going to die any min. it. (1:30am) We still had to get truck out and then back up that hill.(3am) I tried to climb the hill but there was no way I was going to make it. I could make it ¾ of the way , but that was it. I stayed at the bottom and we started the long winch up with his. Battery?s dead and truck barely running to charge them . little bit sit little bit sit you get the idea.(5am) we make it back to where we started the night. To find my uncle brought a party with him. Bonfire and music was going what a night. Uncle had to go to work in hour in ½. Good thing it was just on the other side of the road. I got to spend the day getting his truck home. I guess that?s fair. We laugh about that night still. Wish I had more pics.

spent way too many nights getting trucks unstuck and watching the sun come up
never had to spend the night but spent lots of nights that turned into morning before we quit lol
I only spent the night once, It was my first time wheeling. I went with a friend and we figured that if on of us got stuck the other would be able to pull it out. Well anyways he had a S-10 with 31s and i had a stock XJ. After trying to follow him across some ruts I managed to get myself stuck. He tried pulling me out from alongside the ruts, he gave it too much gas and his S-10 slide sideways into one of the ruts. While he was trying to back out a log caught the valvestem on his PF tire and tore it out. Soon the bead came off the rim and now both trucks are stuck. We eventually found a guy who was willing to pull us out, he also had a Cherokee which was sitting on 35s. He was able to pull the S-10 out but didnt have enough weight to pull me out. Later we came across the owner of a Suburban who offered to pull me out. About 10minutes of harsh snatching from the suburban and my Cherokee was free. It was now 10PM and the S-10 had a flat tire and no spare. We decided to spend the night sitting in the Jeep since there were a bunch of drunk ATVers riding around and he didnt ant anyting to happen to the S-10. In the morning we took the flat tire back to a repair shop with the Jeep and were finally able to leave.
In all i dont think we did more then 30mins of wheeling before we got both trucks stuck.
My Frist blazer sat in my woods for 3 months stuck in the mud till the ground dried up. Tried to get it ou with my 2wd drive s-10 and my dad tracker when it was muddy and it would not move.
Suck the big one
I never spent the night in my stuck truck...............I always started Walking!!!!!!!!!
In Nov 1999, I was cruisin around the trails at M61 decided to check out a loggin road..........no sooner locked the hubs in an rolled forward into a water hole..........front end got hung up rear end burried to the pumpkin
Walking out either West or East would have taken 2 hours............Walking out south to M61 took about an hour................so I started walking, had to take shoes off and roll up pant legs and cross an Icy stream...............get out to M61 an a couple in a old chevy truck gave me a ride into Albright shores.....................called my folks.............nobody home...........called my sister.......she couldnt pick me because she was watching the baby..................so I start walking again........to another party store to call from 4 miles away...............long story short..........I got stuck around 12pm..............................my cousin & brother didnt arrive to pick me up and get my truck till 6:30 that night...................frooze my azz off....................and truck really wasnt stuck that bad......but I didnt keep a shovel in my tool box...................lessoned learned.......never wheel alone....or at least keep a cell phone with you.......and make sure it works in the area your driving around in.
yea i found out while u never wheel alone me and my buddy in my stock blazer got stuck in a two track and had to wait at least only 3 hours for my uncel to get off work and pull us out applaudd ;D
a couple different times, trucks and 1 to 3 days at a time
65 chevy long bed 2wd, 15 miles up a mountain trail in the Chiricahua mountains in AZ, we tried to cross a dry wash and got hung up, absolutely nothin in the truck but beer, its around 11pm. Drink the beer and dont worry bout it till the sun comes up, right? Cant walk on flat level ground correctly much less down a mountain trail with 600' drop-offs, so just had a seat til mornin ;D
ya me and dirtydog has done it a couple of times good thing its been in my yard had the stereo crankig and lights and shovels we dug on those trucks all night the one time it cost me a wreaker bill to get mine out it was burryed to the bumpers and every time we dug the mud just came back in the wreaker had to pick the front end completly out of the hole found out after it was out that i blew the rear end still had to dig his out for anther day (he's stuburn didnt want to pay the wreaker bill) and still had to get another truck to pull his out. hell he's had his truck in my yard stuck for a couple of days more than once. but they were all good times
It was new years eve 07 and me and my cuz were wheeling up in elmira Mi. It was raining all day on top of melting snow. We ended up getting stuck on the top of a hill that was so muddy and rutted. 2 jeep cherokees stuck now. No way to get each other out. So me and my cuz ended up walking about 3 miles thru sloppy mucky mud/snow and found a cabin having a new years party. Got to watch the ball drop then one of the locals at the party offerd to pull us out he had a chevy avalanche. So in all my jeep spent the new year stuck. Didn't have to spend the night we made it out about 2am
