Long story short. I lost 1st and 2nd gear in my truck the other day. Tore into the trany and it was a shift fork. Could not find anywhere in town so onto the internet. After looking at site after site and calling 10 differant places. Most places had just the fork and nothing else I needed. I needed some plugs that always leak on my model and poly bushings for the shifter. I found 2 places that I got to talk right to the owners and they had every part I needed and more. The best prices also.
The 1st in Springfield, Missouri
C&M Gearworks (http://www.cmgearworks.com/contactus.htm)
The 2nd in Spokane, Wa
T&B Transmission (http://www.tbtrans.com/index.htm)
Both had awsome customer service. Knew just what I was looking for. Had it in stock. Was more than please with both. Both gave me cheaper prices on the phone that were priced on net. I ended up going with C&M Gearworks (http://www.cmgearworks.com/contactus.htm) because it would get here faster.
I did alot of searching and calling to find these 2 spots. I was so happy after I ordered I had to post for everyone else. So if you need just some stupid little part for a manual trans or tranfer case one of these 2 will have it and be the cheapest. I got just what I needed to my door for $38. The sites dont look like much but give them a call.
One other thing I found on my journey was Domestic Truck Transmission Identification Guide (http://www.motivegear.com/tech_info/tranny_guide/tranny_guide.html)
Hope this is useful to someone.
