what front axle is the one without lock out hubs i know it's not a d44
if you are talking chevy i think they are the 10 bolts, they are the ones with the auto hubs. i think
what do you mean most of the axles can be found without manual hubs even the 44 ???
it looks like a full floating axle...look on silver eagles truck in the new caine rd pictures theres a good pic of what the hub looks like
chevy and ford both used a "heavy duty" dana 44..it had bolt on lock outs..or full time plates...the bolted on with 6 3/8 bolts. funny thing is..the axle had the same strenght as a regular 3/4 ton, or 1/2 ton axle..dodge made a axle that didn;t have lock outs of any kind..the axle shaft was fasted right to the hub. just like the new trucks have today
does it look like this ??? if to you've probobly got HD dana 44
ya thats what i was lookin for thanks guys
my dana 60 has them drive flanges!
yup full time cookies... little disk with teeth on it that lock into the axle shaft... my D44HD had it, dodge also ran them on D60 fronts
