Do you have them ?
Do you use them ?
what kind, factory lap W/shoulder strap
4 point
5 point
Just a word of caution.. never use 4/5 point harnesses without a roll cage, in the event of a roof collapse you can't lay down.
Our club had another rollover incident, fortunately the driver is one of the smart guys and requires belt use in his jeep.. they went ass over tea kettle the hard way and walked away...
i dont wear them in my rig, but if i get in a high horsepower rig like ranger daves, homewrecker johns, mudman, orangecrush, herbs rig, & any high horsepower rig ive rode in, i wear them,
glad no one was hurt Hammer ==roxs
I always wore them at the mounds but I figure it would take some experience to get comfortable with the whole off road driving experience.
factory one's sorry forgot that part.
yep I make everyone use it! lap belts.....
I've got the factory belts in my jeep right now but when I build a better cage for it, it'll get a set of harnesses. I where them when I feel that I may get tossed around ==shrug
I wear mine, and ask whom ever getting in to put them on. im not on the ground all the time ;D
yes/yes/factory lap with shoulder strap.. not that mine even moves loll
Depends on how i feel or if i wanta feel pain later loll most of the time yes though ==np
factory lap W/shoulder strap
Yea, we've been fortunate.. several rollovers, couple of hard rides 3 fires and had the p00 scared out of us several times.. but no serious injuries in the 4 yrs I've been in the club.

when i drive you dont need them but when erika drives you do ???
I wear mine when ever I get into the truck...I can't stay in my own seat on some ruts...and Randy just plain scares the S**t outta me!! and they are factory belts...and when trever rides I make him wear his too
I am going to put a cage in my truck in the next few weeks and get 5 points! too many roll overs in the past 2 years! not to have one!
Right now I only have factory but the truck is getting a full cage and 5points.
use the factory belts every time i fire up the truck
This is a very good question and one that merits a LEGAL answer IMO.
When you guys are operating your trucks at the Mounds, they are LEGALLY being used as an ORV and are subject to all the laws that pertain to ORVs
Before an ORV may be operated on ANY property, the operator is responsable for the following equipment requirements,
A. ORV operators and all passengers MUST wear a U.S DOT approved crash helmet and protective eyewear or goggles EXCEPT when the ORV is equipped with an approved roof AND the operator and passengers are wearing properly adjusted and fastened safety belts.
Now I understand that the Mounds personal are about as bright as a 5w light bulb on a blind night and they dont make you guys follow the seat belt laws in most cases [ they probably dont even know that its a LAW] but IF someone becomes INJURED as a result of not wearing their seat belt in your truck, the OWNER of the vehicle can be held liable for injuries pertaining to that accident.
So for legality reasons and for safety sake, I'd wear my seat belt while operating my 4x4 PU truck at the Mounds.

Factory belts for now, gonna put a cage in this winter, then racing harness lap belts. I always wear em, saved my butt more than once!
factory belt's in jeep and truck......
5 point in buggy
Stock lap and shoulder belts.
It took me a few times out on the trails to learn why I should wear my seat belt. And this is why.
1. Not sure about Jeeps, but Ford and Chevy bench seats can launch you quite high while blasting down a trail. But only as high as the roof will allow. Ouch!
2. Keeping your foot on the gas is instrumental while navigating through a deep hole. And you can't do that when you are bouncing off the seat.
3. Keep your copilot off the shifter. There?s nothing more annoying than being thrown into neutral in the middle of a deep hole.
Everyone wears seat belts in my truck for these reasons.
i dont wear em dont ask me why i just dont wear em as for my passenger it up to them usually they dont wear em at first until i take them for a ride then they wear it from that point on but me i just dont wear em....
whenever im on the trail or at the pit i wear a seat belt safety first
i'm useing RCI 5 point harnesses in my XJ and if i could i would never use another factory seat belt ever again
Would love a cage and 5 points but will probably settle for factory lap/ shoulder. Sometimes I wear it, sometimes I don't. Depends on what's going on.
factory lap/shoulder in front and factory lap belts in the back 79' Bronco
Well I always were my stock belts and tell riders to were them, saturday at delaney rd. it was so rough my passenger flew out of his and hit his head on somthing,(roof,or window) gave him a good lump. never can be to safe!!! ==wgm ++peace
factory lap/ shoulder belts, and if just putting around then no, but if going into anything deep or more than just off idol then yeah.
i put them on, you just never know. i only have lap belts. I put my kids in a carseat for up to 80 pounds with 5 point.
