how much of a difference will a new egr valve work???? the one thats on the truck is plugged shut with crap.. how much better will it run if at all any better???

HUGE!!! LOL if its pluged then your truck should be running ruff and have crappy throtal response. you need to fix that asap. incase you didnt know your egr recirculats some of your exhust back into the intake to help cool combustion when needed. when that starts to malfunction or gets pluged thats when youll notice your truck running ruff.

it is a 1990 chevy with 350 with tbi. it has always had really bad throtal response. at idle the exhaust always sounded weard sounds like a tractor from behind at idle.

how does it idle? noticibly high? or...?

when i start it up it idles high but after about 10 min of messing around it calms down..

have you tryed to clean it? if you cant I would replace it!

yah i tryed cleaning it. i cant get all the crap out of it.. it is packed with mud and they just blocked the line to it with a screw.

sounds good going to pick up the new one and a gasket thursday morning after i get payed..
