ok heres the problem. i have gottn the battery tested and i put a new alt in it. but some how when i drive it it charges fine. but as soon as i shut it off it wont start back up.. every connection is tight. 1990 chevy 350 tbi
check all your grounds, including the straps that go from the engine block to the frame and from the batter to the frame, and check both ends.......
i was thinking it was the grounds but i just wanted someone elses opinion also when i actualy use the blinker the alt gauge goes from where ever its at to 0 and back up with every blink
could be a short some were maybe........
well it does it with everything lights blinkers fog lights off road lights it dont matter what i use even the heater and stero
alright ill check that stuff out .. the neg is to the motor and then the ground is to the fender. ill run another one to the frame and a bigger one to the body.. should i also ground the body to the frame even if i have the battery to the body and the frame??
do you have a voltage guage or an idiot light?
