looking for around 15 inches to 16 inches eye to eye shocks from anything! using em for my project , cheaper the better . just wondering if anyone know what vechile or year i can find at part store that re stock at those measurements.. didnt want to spend too much time at part store for the clerk to find me the right ones.
extended or compressed length?
well in middle really... the rig is just sitting so the eye to eye is 15 to 16 inches... so dont know if shocks shd be extended when sitting ?

not all the way, no. if they extend all the way before the suspension totally unloads, they will be somewhat of a limiting strap
so it should be compressed? how would u say this then or get a shock for this as long i know it s sitting just the way it is it s 15 inches.. eye to eye
you want the 15 inches, in the middle of the shock. to flex the same both ways.

15 compressed, and if you can flex the axle out- measure again, that would be the extended length
well what will i find 15 inches compressed shocks out of , eye to eye?
parts store should be able to check the books for ya
using the limited information you gave try this: 81-87 GM 4x4 1/2 or 3
/4 ton front with factory dual shocks. length -extended 21.42 collapsed 13.16 got this info from RANCHO hope this helps.
