which is better? saw a thing on TRUCKS(spike tv) the other day and they were using aluminum instead of chromoly for thier 4-link setup. any ideas or info on this?? ???
its the higher grade of aluminum, some 60xx # i think, which = $$$
that aluminum will bend like a plastic straw!
go chrommy
okay cool, thanks everyone i was wondering what to make my next 4-link out of. anyone have ideas on where to get chromoly cheap that will accept 1" heim joints?
the alum is for looks not use, its for the rich punk wanabe mudder
well my dad puts chrome-moly roll cages in race cars, not aluminum. look at speedwaymotors.com for the heims if you dont have them yet. cheap but good

"rich punk wannabe mudder?" i am the complete opposite. i just took a student loan because i am tired of always bouncing around. and i want to do the suspension right this time. $8 an hour at a construction company definately doesn't make me a rich punk. i work hard as hell for my money i want my truck to be setup right this time. saw that on tv, and was just wondering about it.
chromoly all the way
found this, good read- http://www.azrockcrawler.com/_images/tech/2006/8-19-06links/links.html
for the AL- 7075-T6 solid bar, as the aluminum tube would give way too easy
