Title: which intake to go with
Post by: chevystudz7105 on August 09, 2008, 06:18:59 PM
i just picked up a new motor for my muddin truck.   the intake it has on there is a weiand sp?  now the motor that is in my muddin truck right now that will be coming out soon has a edelbrock performer intake on it.   is one better then the other  or wont i notice a diff?  i know some of the ford guys  or atleast the ones i know  like the weiand intakes on their motors but i was curious what all the chevy guys think.

oh and the motor is a 350.

id go with the performer just because it has the universal bolt pattern for the carb.

I've run both on my SBC's and I don't think there's much of a difference, they are both duel plane intakes

dual plane Intakes  are  TORK,    single  ones are  RPM.

i say a  small block  go with a  Single,  big block  go for tork.
                                           just  my ==2cents

yea i duno what im gunna do  but i have atleast 2 wks to think about it.  i was messing around with the motor tonite and as i was putting it back in the garage i was holding onto the bar that rotates the engine stand .  well iw as pushing it in with that bar  and it slipped on me pinching me hand and  slicing it open. right between the thumb and index finger.  so  i got a bunch of stitches and 2wks of not working on the truck.  not to mention trying to get this typing deal down again with one screwed up hand   lol
