i just got done tearing down my passenger side hub because i had a horrible wobble when i drove. anyways, i found out that it was because the nuts that hold the rotor/wheel bearing in place had backed off on me. now i know there is a washer in between the two nuts and i have that, however there isnt any "fingers" to bend over in order to hold them in place. can i purchase a new one of these somwhere that i havent thought of without having to buy the whole hub or maybe a trick someone knows?
now, last night i decided that until i get this washer with the fingers to bend over, i would put the wheel bearings in, greese everything up real good, and put the first nut on just to hold everything in place so i would have a head start when i get this washer. i got everything put in and i noticed that the nut woudlnt take on the threads correctly. i took the rotor off so that i could see everything better and tried to get the nut to take but it simply wont. is there a trick to this that i dont know? it looks like my threads might be messed up but they are so fine that i cant really see them that well. any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
just went out there and cleaned everything up real good so i could see what was going on and the threads on the axle shaft housing are pretty messed up. guess i gotta find a die to run over it.....
depending on what lockouts they are the inner nut should have a little nipple sticking out and the washer has holes line them up the washer will only go on a certain way its kinda tricky . Alot of the inner nuts broke off the little nipple also alot a guys just get the inner on right where it needs to be tight and slip the washer in then lock the outer one on to them if ya have any questions gimme a holler 810 691 2845 Jeremy

its tricky it could just be the threads on the end of the spindle are a lil rounded off......just pull it down and use a thread file, maybe trip to the junk yard or calling a buddie for the nuts....
lol...forgot i even had this post still up. anyways, i had a junk dana 44 laying outside my barn. i tore it down and got the spindle off of that and im all set :) thanks for the help guys
