I'm going to be replacing my front axle U-joints real soon and I am looking someone that can press them in.
Anyone know of anybody? Preferably not to far to from Davison and can get it done on a weekend.
Thanks.
do you can have a vise? I do it that way it works pretty good. or I just beat them in with a hammer and a socket.
I use a hammer and socket most of the time or a vise if I need it! I have never used a press...
Nope, no vise
The last time I beat them with a hammer It didn't go so well!
thanks thou...
hmm ive always had good luck with the hammer and the socket
first time i used an actual press for it.. blew the cap out ==roll
hammer ,vise, and some sand paper to clean cap bores, should go smoothly, be careful not to drop a pin, that sux!! just take your time.
I had luck with a ball joint / u joint press from auto zone tool loaner program.
hammer and socket works preatty good. if there givin you some trouble use a lil heat. be carful if you use a press that you dont bend the ears on the drive shaft
