I was told I had to get vortech head with MPI to bolt up on older 283. I got 283 gonna be built to turn 12k rpm with twin turbo but need help which head and MPi also where do I find the exhaused manifold to bolt up the twin turbo? and one know anything about this combo?
Sorry I didnt explain clearly! what I was told I need a vortec engine top end to fit onto 283ci is that right? also about turbo where do I find exhaust manifold that fit small bloch chevy for turbocharger? and again what axle should I use for rhis set up? rockwell or dana 60 set up? the goal for this 283ci is that high rev engine. Iam gonna put 4L80e or 4L85E 205 combo set up. Any input would help clear me up thanks for reading this.
Im deaf have him typy it up here other wise I might call him thru video relay
all SBC heads interchange with all SBC blocks. you can put vortec heads on thats 283. since your going to run a twin turbo setup i'd run this setup for induction. http://www.jegs.com/p/Holley/751443/10002/-1 since it has the computer and everything needed to tune it. i'm not sure if it's compatible with a tubo setup although you can buy diffrent size injectors to run how ever much power you want.
Please remove this post since this engine been blown up under test dyno and gave this project up. Now im into 454
any of the 283 parts still any good?
12,000 rpm small block ==roll
How can you not love it?
