at least 4.10 or lower
depends where you drive most highway, city, 55 mph roads
all around I would say 4.10
ya i dont drive on highway at all and when i do i go 55 anyway...... well 40 on my speedo hahah 15 over on the tires than on speedo
applaudd
get 4.10s. if you decide to get bigger tires, then goto 4.56s or 4.88s
okk how much they gonna run me in...300 or ?soo?...................
Closer to $500. Two sets of gears and two install kits. Plus however much you get charged for the install.
um k thnks
can i pick me up some used ones for decent price or go just with new ens
i would just go with new ones... for the price you may as well, plus never gotta worry about used gears...

go with 4.56s you will be very happy!
I Would go with 4.56
4.10 vs. 4.56 what can i expect? in gain from 3.08
If your tires measure 35 inches. 4.56 will put you back to about your stock rpm range and power
um k thats what i want i am thinkin bout puttin on some 38s here soon the 4.56 compatable with those also?or gear er down some more
allrighty 4.10s it is................ applaudd debate dunnn hahah applaudd
id say 4.10s for 35s, 4.56s for 38s, 4.88/5.13 for 44+
do you have 3/4 ton axles? you can always upgrade to bigger axles, they usually have lower gears anyway,410 being the norm. it may be cheaper in the long run to buy a set of used axles for as little as 300 bucks, front and rears.
Exactly what OC said,
BUY A SET of heavy 3/4 ton axles..........300.00 is alot cheaper than buyin new ring gears, and having them installed.....................but you will need to buy 8 lug rims
Plus you'll have much stronger axles that will be able to handle the tires and horsepower your truck is running.
You'd want a 14 bolt full floater from a Pre 1980 chevy 3/4 ton.......and front 10 bolt or dana 44 axle from same year.............just make sure axle ratios match.
ring and pinnion are olney $150. and get what you want that way. buying differnt axles, then you will still need to buy the ring and pinnion you want.
call Now Parts. 517-214-0577 ask for larry. and keep the set of axles you have. you wont need rims that way to.
