the rear end in my blazer decided to grenade while goin 85 down the freeway yesterday my buddy says i can have his 3/4 tons with 4.10's off his old bogger.... will i need to change my drive shafts or do the have the same yoke. he said the axles are off a mid 80s Chevy.
I'd be willing to bet that the 3\4 ton rear in a 1350 joint. Your blazer should be a 1310. So yes you would have to change the yoke. Both fronts I'm sure are 1310. Should'nt be to much, check Ebay. A new yoke is around $70.
front you will be fine as long as it's a 10 bolt or dana 44 and not a dana 60. As for the rear just go to your local parts store IE: napa, carquest, ect, not autozone. then tell then you need a conversion ujoint to fit you will need to know what year and stuff that the dshaft is from and then tell them that the axle is from a 78 3/4 ton and you should be fine I've done it a few times.
