easy way to find out the problem. put the truck in 4x4 leave it in park. jack 1 front tire up and spin it. look under the truck while spinning it. if the front drive shaft turns you have a t-case problem. if the d-shaft doesn't spin then your front axle is broken or not fully engaging.

Yeah could posibly have a broke chain, or a broke axle shaft....

i pulled the actuator out of where its held in(under the battery.. stupid spot for it.) but i left it all hooked up,put the truck in 4 wheel, and it pulled the cable as far it could be pulled so i dont think thats bad. but still no 4 wheel. plus i only wheeled with it like 2 times since its been new. but as soon as i scrap up enough cash im gunna buy the posi lock. ive been looking into them for a while.

the actuator should be on the front axle...... or at least it was on mine.. I would jack it up in 4x4 and spin a tire like they said to see what it does I bet you broke the front axle... good luck

i had a similar problem with my 94. i took it to transmission technologies and they told me i had blown one of the pressure seals in the t-case that connects to the tranny?! cost me 150 and it worked fine after that but to this day have no idea what they were talking about! never heard of that.
