just when things are going good they always seem to go right down the shitter. thursday night at 11 pm i lost the best person in the world to me. my Father. His name was Dave or dad to me. he died from diabetic shock due to his sugar level being either way to low or way to high. i'm only 20 yrs old and he was 54. now i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. my mom and uncle are the only 2 close relatives that live in NJ where i'm from. i have no one out in MI except my GF. i don't wanna move back to jersey because i went through alot to move out here in the first place. i'm very happy living here for many reasons, but at the same time i have no clue how i'm gonna live out here by myself with a p00 p00 10/hr job, medical benefits that are up in december, and a house that i can't afford to rent along with all the other expensises like car insurance and basic bills. my father had a good amount of life insurance but idk how long that will last after funeral costs.
moral of the story. be grateful for who you have around now because just when you think everythings good they could vanish from your life in an instant. tell your family and friends you love them every chance you get because you don't know when it will be the last time.
sorry about your loss

hang in there BRO life goes on even if we don't want it too
sorry man thats rough
sorry to hear bout ur dad keep your chin up it will get better
That is to bad. I'm so sorry. He was very young.
I hope that you are keeping a good eye on your own blood sugar. I wish I could tell you what to do cuz I can tell that is what your looking for.
But I can tell you this, whether you believe in god or not, thing in life happen for a reason. I don't know if that is how it works, or just how we look at it later.
The really important thing is what we do with what happens. Just do what you feel you have to do. Lean on your girl friend . If you want to stay here you will find a way.
Doors open and close all the time , its in thees times thats we see them more clearly. good luck and sorry for your loss Your not alone.

Sorry to hear that man, just keep on keepin on
on to the next problem i have. how i'm going to live here, and how to get a decent job. my dad left me around 100,000 life insurance. but GM won't give his pension because he didn't have 3 more months and i'm not listed as a beneficiary. so basically my monthly income still stands at 1200/month from my p00 p00 10/hr job. not enough for a apartment or house. i'd really like to stay here in MI because i love it here for many reasons. but if it comes down to it i can move back to jersey. however that still doesn't solve my problem...my moms moving soon as she sells her house so i'll be stuck there too...any recommendations for help finding cheap housing preferably 1-2 bedroom houses for rent and or apartments with a garage.i also need some ideas on where i could apply for a job. i have one now but it's not enough.
have your girl get a job and move in together????? thats bull p00 about you not getting the pension
Your a a state certified mechanic right. You should be looking for that work.
If you can sell your dads house take the money left from the Ins and the house, and with both of you working and a small down payment you should be able to find a house that is in your price range. There is a million repos out there, don't worry about the nicest.... just get a roof over your head and live. Things will pick up here in MI in a few years so just hang on. You get your investment back on the house then . Just try to stay out of debit. Check into DHS to see if you qualify for food stamps and Health Ins. Just some Ideas. I hope it helps
Also does you mom get the pension Maybe she would help you . If not who gets it? You could tell them to help you out for a bit and they wont have to look over there shoulder when they go out >:D
come on out to Argentine there's plenty of cheep houses and Flint is 25 miles a way for work.
My wife works nighst at wall mart and makes over 8 dollars an hour if your GF can find a job that pays that plus your pay that is a decent wage. I have been taking care of 3 kids and a wife on between 16 and 17 dollars an hour for the last 10 years. I don't do anything and don't have a lot of toys but I have what I need.
at 1200 a month u shouldnt have that big of a issue renting ??? i made on average 600 a (good) month for the summer.. renting a place, 1 bedroom house for 300 a month. + car insurance, electric, gas and food. Maybe look outside town, stuff gets cheaper out there.
Sorry to hear about your loss

Also I have found only a few jobs in the paper so don't rely on that for work . You have to go to places and put in your app. Look though the phone book for places that you think you might like to work and call them, ask if there looking for help and go if they are. You have the money to get a house and the payment will be about the same for an apartment depending on where you look . Hell you can get a one bedroom in Flint for cheap but you should buy my gun to keep out the creepy crawlies, lol
What about the GF, would her parents let you stay there for a little bit till you rap up the loose ends and get a place? If not, I'm not sure but if your dads house go into foreclosure you can stay there for up to a year in some cases... But since he died it is part of an estate so I'm not sure how that works. You need to contact a lawyer.
The point is you can do it ==np. You just have to decide your going to. So good luck and I am positive you will be just fine. If there is anything I can help with just ask Il help if I can.
sorry to hear that
