Title: AWD astro won't start, it wants to
Post by: dossows on September 07, 2008, 06:21:56 PM
Trucks been sitting about 3 months with out being started. Over holiday weekend I put trans in it, was sitting on jack stands with front about 5 to 6 inchs higher than rear. Started truck, It started like it always did as fast as you could turn key. Ran perfect for about 5 mins. Iwas putting trans fluid in it, it just died, would not restart. my son noticed the height difference from front to rear. Put truck on ground, started right up. Started adding more trans fluid, it died again.after about 5 mins
Now it wont start but it sure does want to.

Sorry so long,    Hope someone can help

Put more fuel in it, the guage could be wrong!  I would suspect a fuel pump if that doesn't work.

:-[ :-[ I was on my way to get gas when you replied, put 2 gallons in it and a half pint of gas treatment.
Took a few turns but then started.
Gauge is digital, float must have stuck from sitting on angle.
After it started gauge was the same got out and shook hell out of van and it dropped bars.
Thanks for replys
