for a tow rig
i had a guy tellin me chevys sucked for towin but i dont believe him
omg i hate people that say a truck is junk just because of the badge it wears!! tell the guy you talked to he is an idiot! you find a good runnign 3/4 ton chevy it will pull your toys and trailer like nothing. as long as a truck has the right gears and good drivetrain it will pull no prob man.
amen kornbread
Id say whatever i have to get the job done and if it don't id make it better no matter what model or year i have ==np
nothing pulls toys like a Kenworth. oh wait we are low budget wheelers. pull with what ya got in the driveway and dont worry about what company made it
my 03 silverado 1/2 ton doesnt have any problems pulling mine bogger
UMMMM Hellooo....As long as it gets the job done it doesnt really matter much does it???
it rilly dont matter that much
i have hade better luck with GM but i have well built GMs
dude i'm a mopar nut, but all of our tow rigs are gm's.
my buddy towed my truck once with his dodge 3/4 and
did just fine, but it really dosn't matter although i am a
fan of tow rigs with long frames, makes for a nice ride.
i have a 3/4 dodge it tows just fine but sucks the gas
i think anythink that is used to tow is gunna suck on the gas
lol
if someone finds a good tow rig thats good on gas let me know
After watching my buddy pull an 18' stock trailer with 4 belgians aboard with a Ranger, size doesn't matter. If you have to, anything will work! Although, I do recommend something bigger than a Ranger. Personally, if I had the money, I'd go with a Chevy 3500 w/ a Duramax, but that's just me! loll
Never pulled with anything but a chevy so I can't say about the others! Use what ya got I guess, all i know is my '03 2500HD W/ 6.0 pulls great. Oh yea, as long as your not horribly overloading your tow rig. Just because you can get it to move doesnt mean its safe for the road.
I tow every weekend with a 99z71 1/2 ton truck pulls my full size fine! 70 mph no problem!

have a buddy that has a dodge 3/4 ton with a cummings and pullled great but i guess it all depends on what u are pulling i had a 93 dodge dakota with 3.9 magnum v6 and it pulled my race car better than a friends 1/2 ton chevy with a 350, i was very impressed with my dakota but like i said it depends on what you are pulling..
i just prefer a dually diesel.. ford, chevy or dodge
i dont think it matters what kind it is.. im a chevy guy... and ill admit ford does pull better as a half ton. and in my opionion dodge has a better frame on the half tons. when it gets 3/4 ton or bigger theyre all bout equal.
Long as it gets it done go for it.. thats what i say when im haulin cars with my s10 =]
i say it don't really matter what "brand" you tow with heck i have pulled a load of 1 1/2 skids of cinder blocks in the back of my ranger had the rear end bottomed out and she still pulled just fine! and the kicker is she is a 2.3 4cyl with a stick and an extra leaf in the rear springs but personally i like ford

its all about personal choice,
my f250 get 16 to 17 mile to a gal pulling my ranger. at 70 to 75 miles a hr. 20 to 22 empty.
