i currently have a 406 with gmpp aluminum phase vi heads with 2.02 1.6 valves, and my cam is a solid roller with .585 & .585 lift, 108 lobe seperation and the duration is 292 and 302. it has 1.6 harland sharp rockers and stud girdles. my intake is a team G with a 750 double pumper, mech. sec. and four corner idling. the only problem is that it has the factory crank and rods. if anyone could help with a new rotating assm. suggestions i would appreciate it. i plan on going forged and around 13.5 to 14.1 comp.

What is your application? What do you do with it? mud,sand,street driving? a mix of all three? Sometimes bigger isn't always better..just more exspensive. Do you have a stock block or aftermarket? All of this figures into the opinion. If you have unlimited money.. either motor would work nice.
its going into my s-10 blazer which has a dana 60 front and dana 70 rear soon with 4.88 gears. my blazer shouldn't weigh any more than 3800 lbs. its strictly mud and the block is stock 4 bolt main and next year it will have 44" boggers
