Title: 350 TBI power gains
Post by: ford4x4conversion on October 17, 2008, 04:34:27 PM
What is the best combination of throttle body, intake, heads, headers, and exhaust for this application.  Looking to get better power without sacrificing drivability or fuel economy.  Whats the best bang for the buck out there?

TBI fuel economy is crap to begin with. i put TPI camaro 305 heads on a stock 350 block. i put a mild comp cams hydraulic roller cam as well as roller rockers. estimated power is around 300-325. i'm running a 454 tbi unit and computer for fuel delivery

i have a 91 silverado that i put a air raid (i think) 1 inch tbi spacer, k&n, and heddman elite long tube headers and i noticed a decent change in power.  woke the motor pretty good and i went from getting 9 mpg to 13.  now im at 14  14.5 after replacing the fuel pump.  oh and i ended up going to a 3.73 front and rear cuz it seemed like to much of a dog with 33's and 3.42s.  still not the greatest at get up and go  but its better then it was.
