Title: heater switch 95 chevy only works on high

Where is the resistor or whatever it is to fix this problem??? I guess thats what goes bad not sure? Thanks

95 not positive, either ontop or on the side of blower motor housing under the hood on the passenger side.... OR it could be behind the glove box.

If I remember they are part of the switch itself. Not 100% though, its been awhile.

The resistor packs are always in the air stream of the blower motor.

i looked on the 1990 silverado at the college, that one was behind the glove box, 5 year difference.. but ya never kno...

 a=f  resistor pack , change it ,  when my 92 truck did that i changed the resistor and fixed it  a=f

when my '95 did that i ended up having to replace the whole control panel that has all the switches on it cause somethin f%$ked up back there

I know when ever I had one come in to the dealer with blower only works on high, the switch assembly is what always got replaced. The resistor I think is the switch in those years, it has been awhile since I have worked on one that old though.

Sorry, forgot I asked this question! Appreciate teh answers, but as of now my uncle is using my truck so I cant even look at it. Redneck Mudder and Mr. G   Thats is what I was thinkin but the auto parts store said resistor, guess I will have to actually go there and see what they have!! Thanks for all the input!!
