i tryed started it without pumpin it at all so idk
i dont think it was flooded
Then i would say maybe an intermitten relay problem maybe.... or your fuel pump works when it wants to, i've had that happen on a few chevy's, if it happens again hit ur gas tank and if it starts its ur pump...

What year truck? GM HEI? Notorious for control modules being intermittent, could also be wires on magnetic pickup in dist ,the wire can break inside the insulation and cause similiar condition.
I had the same problem I changed my control module and the problem quit.

its a 98 gm performance parts crate engine gm hei 5.7
my truck used to do this exact same thing. ill bet it is the ignition module in the bottom of the distributor. when mine goes the truck wont start. let it site for awhile and it will fire right up and go back to being jusgt fine. but i only made it 3 miles down the road and it took a p00 on me again. i just swapped in a new one and its been good sense
i think it was just flooded i didnt have time to mess with it i had to get to school
