I went to Walmart at lunch to get a game for Sony PS2.
I picked up a bottle of wine and went to check out.
The clerk TOOK it from me and said:
"Iam sorry, but I cannot sell this to you".
I thought to myself...'what the hell, is it Sunday??? is it like 8 am and I just can't tell time?'
Well, she said that there is a state law banning the sale of alcohol on election day until 6 pm.
Funny, I called two other stores and they knew NOTHING about it.
I called walmart (yes, I am persistant) and they said that the state law is written in such a way that they CAN prohibit sales on election day if they WANT to.
Hmmm... So now Walmart is taking the role of MORAL ADVISOR!
I THINK NOT!

Wal Mart sucks for so many reasons, that's just another one to add to the list, I hate how they kill the mom and pop shops.
Well, I am done with them now - for this and other reasons. I just have a really, really hard time accepting the fact that a place that does kill mom & pop shops feels compelled to regulate ANYTHING I do or dont do...

I had a customer come in to the store last night and told me that we werent aloud to sell any alochol at all today......when I told him that he was wrong and he told me that he seen a sign at walmart that stated that there was alochol beverages that can not be sold today.....stupid idea........
What is next telling us that we cant sell/buy alochol on any other day......
I dont drink but I selling a lot of beer and wine everyday and it is stupid that they can just decided when and where they are aloud to sell/buy beer......

Not until 12 pm on Sundays
Not after 9 pm on Christmas Eve
We are not a 24 hour store so we dont have to worry about the other times....
clio walmart says no sales from 12 am to 12 am i saw that yesterday morning and i looked up at the cashier and gave a look and said wtf... the cashier was kinda ruthless about it i m sure i wasnt the first one that said wtf about it

The reasons that I HATE Wal-Mart would take me three pages to write up ==pissed I get pissed when I even SEE a Wal-Mart. Luckily in Midland there is a Meijer also ;D I will absolutely not set foot in Wal-Mart unless I NEED something that nobody else has ==censor

last week my wife opened our new checkin acct and we went to walmart and went to the service desk and asked do you take starter checks and they had a discussion and said ya we take em so the wife and i set out and started shoppin buyin new winter work clothes and caots for the kids and a few other things we get up to the check out and she writes the check and the cashier says idk if we take these adn calls the asst manager and hes like no we dont but ill check so he calls the manager over and they talk about it and she says no we dont take them and i m like hey byTch your the one who said you do shes like no we dont blah blah so needless to say i stated my position to them and left the whole reason we went in there was to exchange a cpmputer we bought from them and tehy wouldnt exchange it either so i told tehm wha ti thought about their NON UNION SCAB NO TOOTH HAVIN PIECE OF p00 MANAGER AND TEHIR NO GOOD USELESS PIECE OF p00 STORE SO I DONT THINK THYE WANT ME BACK IN THERE AGAIN BUT THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DOLLAR OF MY UNION MONEY FOR SURE ILL DRIVE OUTTA MY WAY TO GO TO ANOTHER STORE AND NOT GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS OR ANY OF MY FIRENDS EITHER JMO
Yes not being able to buy beer/wine sucks there but just buy an R rated movie with someone with you that doesn't have an I.D. on them. They said "We have to make sure no one under 17 is getting this" or something like that. So I jabbed back "So if I had my 2 yo Nephew with me I couldn't buy the movie?" And their reply "No thats different" WTF My girl was with me and she forgot her I.D.
