does not look safe at that angle. I doubt the stock bumper is strong enough to hold it at any angle. I hope he has reinforcements that I did not see

broken tie rod ?
Absolutely nothing to worry about here.. cept sore toes..
he would never get enough tension on the cable to do any harm
other than the bumper tearing, once it tore enough, the winch would
just fall to the ground..
course.. I guess the electrical could start a fire ==hmmm
Thats a big ................ nonoo
im sure it would pull out a geo.....maybe

I would'nt trust one mounted to a ball, but I have used ones mounted to a reciever with good results

I think he mounted it that way so he can winch it into a big hole and bury it.
He probably uses that winch cable to keep is wheel running straight down the road....
hi my name is stupid alec the wench mounter only $8.75 fee for mounting,so give me a call for all your wench mounting project's and happy wenching to all the # is wench co.

if you look at pic two and three you can see the tie rod laying by the drivers side tire
Looks like its to heavy for the truck.

exactly what i was thinking
(glad i read all the posts first)
i figure the winch keeps one wheel straight and maybe the steering wheel still turns the other?
