House is heated with natural gas kept temp around 64. Yes I know that temp is low but at work we have to keep the control room around 60 to 65 to keep the computers cool. Shop is heated with Kerosene.  Looking for a wood stove for shop.

Wood in the house with LP backup.  Indoor woodstove that we just put in last year.  It keeps our house at about 80 - 85 usually.  Up to 95 if I really want!!  I haven't even lit the pilot light on our furnace yet :)

It is so hot at work that I have to have my house at least 80 or I am freezing.

We use the furnace for one end of the house and in the other end we have a corn buring stove.  We can get 100lbs of corn for $9.00. Go through about 300lbs  week.  I love it sometimes it smells like Popcorn!! ;D

It depends on how well your house is insulated, how warm you keep your house, how cold it is outside, and how efficient your furnace is.   That actually doesn't seem to bad for early in the year.  Wait and see what happens next month though lol!!

I have one of those Eden Pure electric heaters and a Kerosene heater...so far our natural gas furnace only kicks on when it gets realy cold outside and even then it is only once an hour. Bills have been real cheap so far this year...last year we seen $400 to $500 a month gas bills in the winter! We have a large house now 2800sq feet, 5 bed room 3 bath.
