just wondering how many of you are going through the same thing as me.
I've been with my company 6 years and this is the first layoff that i've had.
right now it's only 3 weeks, but the boss said it was tentative, so who knows.
Everyone I know is laid off right now.
I have not been effected, but I know that it is starting to happen. I hope that something can happen quickly to avoid the major disaster, especially in Michigan, that will happen if the doors close.
i'm about to be laid off for 5 weeks. can't wait. yay. (sarcasm)
I am on the brink of being laid off. I haven't seen a 40 hour check in weeks (if not months). Alot of the companys I service are in some way connected to the auto industry. Most of the companys that make auto parts in the area I service are closing down for 2 to 5 weeks.
I get mine on friday first time in 8 yrs they say 2 weeks now i hear 2 or more months ???
i havent been laid off. i work at delphi but i make parts for other companies too
12-23 is my last day, been there 5 years and wont be gettin the call back

alot of the company's we supply to are shut down for the new 2-3 weeks... gonna be slowwwww at work
im sure they will be some eviction to do for me. in about a month. ==dunno
Wow... this is scary.
My dad works for U.S. Steel (which used to be Great Lakes) He got laid off 2 weeks ago and they are in the process of shutting the whole plant down as all the steel runs off. They said the shut down is for 3 months but he seems to think it will be much longer. I hope something good happens soon
