In my '96 K1500 the multi function switch had some wires melt and short together. ie. when I would turn the truck off with my foot on the brake, truck would keep running til I lifted my foot off the brake. All sorts of weird stuff. Check the wires running to and from it for any melts or signs of heat.

Sounds like a multifunction switch.

I had that happen with wipers and brake lights on my cherokee

fuses are all good. Depending on the cost, im gonna try that multifunction switch and see what that does.

its behind the steering wheel, comes with the t/s switch hazard and the cruise switch, that was a common problem on those cars. Last check they were dealer only part and they were quite pricey.

should but a lot more work. Just remove the wheel once you have the new part pretty easy to see how they bolt in, not hard to do at all, should take 30 min max.
