I have a 80 3/4 chevy. I have a SM465 with a 205 transfercase. I broke the front driveshaft and ended up replacing the output shaft in the transfercase to the other style. Changed it to the flange style instead of the yoke. Now the driveshaft hits the crossmember. The shafts are the same lengh. Do they have different crossmembers or do i have a mount problem?
can you just notch out the crossmember ???
I was going to do that anyway. Just wonder if they make different crossmembers
I'm don't know a whole lot about the 205's but was it off the same combination you have it on or was it off an automatic mabey that's why it's different ==shrug they would have used a different crossmember on an auto than on a manual ==shrug
notch it out, it'll be fine.
I wouldn't think there would be a difference in the crossmembers between a manual or auto, cause the transfercases are the same. but i could be wrong.
Was going to do that anyways.

i think the flange sticks a bit farther foward than the yoke setup.... i ran the yoke for a while in mys10 then switched to the flange.. kept sheering the tiny bolts off...
i would either go back to the yoke if you still got the other shaft, or notch yer crossmember
