Title: Matting a Olds 350 rocket to my chevy 350 trubo
Post by: Marion3 on January 23, 2009, 07:05:20 PM
I found a deal on a olds rocket 350, after searching I found that they have different bellhousing patterns.

I found a bellhousing adapter on summit racing and jegs

Just wondering if there is anything else involved besides bolting on the adapter.

If anyone has ever done a B.O.P.C. motor to a chevy transmission id like to hear how it was done

depending on the tranny it may just bolt up check your bolt pattern before you spend the money on the adapter.

I already know it wont work the top 2 bolts are at different locations.

Just wondering once you install the adapter if the flywheel will even be close to the torque converter.

I think you can just drill the holes in the bell housing to match up? It would convert it into a Chevy-BOP tranny they do make them you know? Anyway like I said I think you can drill certain model years and I dont know if you drill a BOP tranny for Chevy holes or if you can drill a Chevy tranny to BOP holes but I know you can do one of them.
