ok i have seen people at bogs doing doughnuts off to the side of pits. my question is this: is that safe or no. because imo that would be unsafe because you or the person doing it could pick up a rock or some type of debree(sp) and send it flying at wheel speed and hit someone or thing. now just take note im not trying to take everybodys fun by makeing sound unsafe, but just watch where you do it. remember how fast your tires are going and that if you do pickup somthing that thing will be going the same speed as your tires.
no different then driving by spinning tires or anything else.. its all dangerous....
or blowing a ujoint and send it flying theres alot that can happen

i didnt think about that, but that is a good point
I do it on occasion but I make sure I'm not real close to others, I say it's OK as long as the persons using some common sence but If they're not then by all means say something before someone does get hurt. ==2cents
ya i agree do them in the middle not to close to the crowds
got some video of a friend doin' dougnuts with a '69 bronco on 35's. went around one time and got to test his rollcage after he flipped it. hasn't done any dougnuts since. the passenger hurt her neck when she released her seat belt and fell to the ground.
it is not the brightest thing to do...alot of the boggs happen at farms so when you do them donuts u are killing their hay.wheat beans ect* ive seen windows get broke plus ive seen guys get pissed for throwing mud at their trucks..i dont understand why their boggers dont get dirty but they do get upset...just my opionion is to say thats not the smartest thing to do
danger is half the fun
no place for that crap at events involving others.the people i see spinning tires and exibition type driving are those who generally cant cut it in the mud pit.those who choose to drive like that should stay away from me and especially my family. ITS NOT SAFE IN MY OPINION.
I don't see a problem with it. If you can't stand to be around spinning tires, you probably shouldn't be at a mud bog to begin with. I'd say they're fine as long as they keep it away from the crowd enough to not risk sliding into them. Say 100 feet or so.
Yeah, doing a donut near a crowd is not a good idea (duh) but if there is enough room off to the side or in the middle of the pit I say GO FOR IT! Isn't exibition style driving why we do this anyhow?? I have seen some hardcore trucks (Wildtime) get some huge applause by spinning some wicked cyclones. Nobody was close and everybody had a good time.
Just use common sense. Safety isn't gauranteed but as long as you use your head you can have fun and put on a good show.
Parents, WATCH YOUR KIDS
Spectators, WATCH WHERE YOU WALK
Boggers, WATCH EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING
Have fun.

amen!
I used to do them with my old bogger, I wouldn't do them close to crowds or with passengers, its one thing to risk injuring myself, but the onlookers are there to have fun not get hurt, gotta be respectful to others be it on the street or in the mud...

loll loll
i do it in the feild but not at any bogs
you know whats cool about that video is that it took less then ten seconds for like 20 guys to get to the vehicle. thats why i love this club. if something happens you guys are right there in a hurry to help. ==wgm rules.... now about doing donuts i agree that if you are in the middle of the pit you should be able to do them. you gotta think the guys going straight throught the pit kick tons of stuff out to begin with. plus when you are getting pulled out half the time you get stuff thrown at you anyways. just keep it away from the spectators and other trucks.

Yes I'm pretty sure it is but some things have been changed.
just a note, if you look at just about every pic on this topic where someone is throwing mud, no one is visibly close...I think you all have set the example. applaudd common sense. nuff said.
