Title: Truck idles high

I have a 1988 Chevy 1/2 and it idles really high.When its in park it idles kind of high, but when in drive it goes down a little bit. I just replaced the knock sensor and TPS. What else can it be??????

open hood and listen for vacum leaks around the throttle body.. and where the vacum line goes into the switch in the dash board for heater controls

not to sure about chevys but it kinda sounds like an Idle air control  my 87 mustang had same problem

my guess would be your iac (idle air control) sensor.  mine on my truck went bad and when i looked at it  it didnt seem like there was anything wrong.  i thought it just came unplugged when mine idled high. but it ended up being broke right off where the threads end and just barely touching it caused it to fall right off.
