gonna change the mulitfunction switch on the wifes 01 lumina, how do i disconnect the airbag on the steering wheel so it doesnt blow up, lol

it won't go off unless you somehow cross a hot wire to the trigger wire of the air bag. It can happen, but is pretty rare. To be safe just disconnect the battery, it can't fire without electricity

un hook battery completley let it set (they say 15 min) i'd leave it for half hour, alows the capacitor for  the air bag to discharge.

disconnect the battery both leads and touch the positive lead to the negative lead then go to work
