Title: Where To Buy Tire Tubes
Post by: TBigLug on February 15, 2009, 11:48:43 PM
I just picked up 5 of the 36x12.5x16.5 RT2 Hummer tires. Where can I find tubes for them? Does anybody know anything about "flaps" for the tubes? I haven't had any bias ply's other than our tractor tires for years so I'm not sure where to find tubes for truck tires anymore and what the flaps are.

Can't help ya with findin them, but I believe the "flaps" are a liner that goes between the rim and the tube to reduce the chances of a puncture from the rim itself.

You were pretty close. I talked to my tire guy today when I had him pull the 33's off. Turns out the flaps were for the split rims to keep the tube from trying to come out the split. He said I wouldn't need them since I'd be mounting it on radial one piece rims. And they can get me tubes for $20 each. Thanks for the input guys.
