Title: factory tow hooks

got one from the lurn from my mistake departmint . me and a frend wher pullin post out with my truck (and yes i know that this ideal was un safe but it worked) went to go pull one out backwerds gave it a litle tug my tow hook faild, she snaped of at the mointing brackit adn shot down the street some wher.

tow hooks weer fond in the barn and i have now lurnd thay weer for an s10(yep lurnd my leson about that one) 

i am happy to say that no one got hurt but it realy made me thick that i could have easly killed some one. so for any one out hter wondering if thay shoud puut stonger tow points on by all means do it

I went with a piece of 2x6x1/4wall tubing notched inbetween the front frame rails backen by 2 1/2 thick plates welded to that and the frame and 2 pieces of 3/8 angle welded on the front and to the bumper as well as the frame.  Wrap a strap around it and pull to your hearts content or till you rip the hook point off the other truck.
