i know im way over legal ride height but i was wondering if anyone knew any loop holes or if and how it would be possible for an escort service like a wide load has or even police escort i have a crazy idea for an awsome wedding drive away vehicle my 76 jimmy with 18in. lift and 44's i dont know any suggestions would be appreciated
throw a slowmoving triangle on it and tell the cop it's your tractor ;)
dealer plate or a repair in transit plate. may be a parade permit? or the famous f**k it and do it and worry about the it latter, just trailer it over there.
X2 on the f**k it ideal i think if you got her in a dress next to ya the cop shold let you slide, just dont be doing any thing stupid on the road
I agree, I'd just drive it and worry about it later. If you put JUST MARRIED all over it and streamers and whatnot they're probably not going to bother you. Now, this is coming from someone who lives out in the sticks and knows all the cops so take it with a grain of salt.
its been done up here but then again this is a small town and the hall was only 3 miles away, and that was the "drive it and worry about it later" nothing happened
I think it will depend a lot on where you are driving. 44s wont be that bad on the street.... more so if you live outside of metro detroit.
I plan on driving my Blazer on 44s on the street quite a bit.
And with wedding stuff on it... I dont think you would have a problem.
id drive it
farm and log plates work too from what ive herd, just got threatened with a lift law ticket this morning
ive drove it a few times on the road before with no problems so i think i will just do it again and like some of u said it will have just married on it and stuff and the hall is about 5 miles away but thanks for the input
if ya get pulled over just tell em Derek said its ok thatll either 1. get ya in more trouble 2. theyll rodney king ya or 3. theyll just think your nuts for hangin with a guy like me go for it man freemans truck was bigger than your blazer and he drove it all over town that big ext cab he had if ya remember
my uncle did it for his wedding. This was in the mid 90's though. If I remember there were over 10 trucks and there's was huge. They drove right through Waterford with no issues but that was then.
Mike
get a farm plate there's no lift law for farm trucks or equipment
You may wanna run it by the futuer mrs first. Probly need her aproval before any other.
Id just do it but make sure you have valid plates and ins. or they wont let ya slide on the height if you do get stopped
the future mrs. loves the idea and ya u got a point derek freemans truck was up there too

No cop or court system would let a lifted truck slide as farm equipment.
u should be fine my dad drove his 89 blazer 18" of lift on 44s as his daily driver every single day and never had a problem
