What to use, expanded metal, wire mesh?  Just looking for opinions, suggestions, and options.

I've got expanded metal welded to 1" square tube.. this is welded to the roll bar..

use some real heavy guage expanded though.. at one of our meetings we had a photo of a clevis that went thru some pretty heavy stuff
did the job intended, but just goes to show the forces that are present.. the guy walked away

your more than welcome to stop by and check it out anytime.. you know where the truck is.

Yeah, I know this truck, and it was heavy duty 3/8" expanded metal.  The clevis did penatrate it but it did stop it before it hit the glass.

Just another idea to throw out there       Stop by a gravel pit, sometimes they have old screens out of their plants. These come in various sizes and thicknesses. They are woolven sheets and they are very strong.
I do not have a pic or would post
