the price is $236.00 for that 10 feet!
Have you wandered though the pluming section at like menards or lowes? does dyer vent tube come that big? what about a section of non-perferated drain tile(the black flexy stuff)? i'm just brain stormind for ideas that help.
here is a strange one how about 2 rubber clamps and a section of 5" pcp pipe.
pm toolman71 and ask him what his last air cleaner set-up with the v6 was all built out of,i cant remember exactly all what it was, but it could help you some ideas.
do you have room to to run 5" flex? bought some of that at a NAPA for $38 for 6' it was aluminized not stainless. You would have to get band style clamps like on a semi. Also it may be lighter than rubber and won't suck shut. Just a thought for ya.
dryer vent does not come in rubber and they call it pvc pipe not pcp that p00 will KILL YOU, and you may be stuck buying the 10' length and when it gets heat rot you will have more to replace it with or back fire flash burn you will still have plenty left or get a reducer from 5 to 4 and use the aluminum dryer venting tube I hope this helps you
thanx for the input everyone. i think i'm gonna try the 5" flex.
a section of non-perferated drain tile(the black flexy stuff)
this is way cheaper and work for me with a tube of silcone
what you cant go to the truck junk yard and look around? or go to a napa that deals in alot of trucks!eveidently they dont move it so go elsewhere. Id never buy $236.00 of hose, look around there is hose everywhere you look, and free most of the time. bio-diesel plants have lots of extra, where do they get hose??? anyone who is doing pumping, sucking, should have a little bit of hose, to sell or give you.
years ago tsc sold a lot of rubber hose by the foot. they usually keep it outside
anything perferated ( not smooth on the inside) will absolutly kill the flow. Not sure what your running for a motor, but I was told to run atleast 6" ( said 8" would be better) to get inside the cab, and my builder told me to make sure it is smooth on the inside. He suggested the tin heat duct.
check with big truck dealers they use that size hoses on all sorts of things
I'd like to point out that this topic is from 2009.... ==roll just sayin.
