if they were going playing in the mud seems like they would bring a strap, so it was available..

i could see using a chain if getting stuck wasnt even thought of and a chain was all that was available.

But... looks like these guys were expecting someone to get stuck lol.

seen that happen before ...but with damage as end result
ball broke off and went soaring thru the air thru the guys rear window of a ford ranger , broke off his rearview mirror glass flew everywhere ,,,,ended up with glass in his eyes . i had to perform field extraction of glass out of his eye

not good and never use a chain again
