nice ride. what size garage you got?
very nice project! but i think your valve covers are a little skinny... lol
Well the barn is only a 30x40, no matter what size you build, it will never be big enough.
Also the valve covers are only skinny for a short time, I am going to put the 468 out of my other truck in it when the body work and everything else gets done.
==cl I love that body style. Old chevvs ==rocks
sweet truck!!
beautiful truck man, i love that body style step side
Thanks for the comments applaudd

badass truck. wish i had that body off it!!!!
Sweet truck.
==cl truck!
I am still lookin for a grill for it!! If anyone knows who has a 1969 - 1972 grill, let me know. I also need some interior parts, like door pannels and arm rests.
applaudd cool truck!
Well I got a grill finnaly. Today I put the box back together with all stanless steel hardware, replaced the 2 inner bed rails. Now for the fun body work stuff.
Did anyone notice that I have two different style fenders on the damn truck????? I have to change the drivers side to match the passenger side now. It sucks buying a new fender when the one you have is brand new!!!
Very nice build, Gunna be a real hot rod when its done...
nice truck
I got the box fully assembled finally, and I got started on the body work. Got the motor almost done, I just need a good carb for it so I can hear her run. Still need a new drivers side fender. Well here are some more pics.

man i tell ya what, you do some amazing work. im really blown away! this is one bad ass project. when you get finished you want to put a new driver side floor in my k5 lol.
There is a lifted k5 down the road that my friend owns, that hasn't left the yard is 10 yrs I want to get when this project is done, it needs floors bad, but the rest is ok.
Looks good man, i've been watchin this project since you first posted it.
I've got a 3/4ton 84 long bed im gonna be doing over the winter, not much body work needed, dropping a gnarly "little" small block in it, and tubin the bed for some 33x19.5 M/T sportsmans
==cl truck though!
Sounds like a cool project, are you going to keep it 3/4 ton or swap the rear out with a 9" or what?

Man I love them trucks. Buddy back in High school had a 72 3 door Suburban with the Barn door rear end. I have wanted one ever since. Drop it to the Ground, Throw a nicely built SB or BB in it and have one hell of a street rod pick up.
how much did you add to the rear fenders?

thats a nice chevy i'm in the middle of doin that to mine just that mine is a little taller.u are doin a very nice job.
I sent you a PM also but i have a brand new air bag system... just dusty from sitting in the garage....
cool truck hows it run just curious I seen it when I bought that motor that was in your garage
THATS SWEET I HAD A 72CHEVY 2WD AND I LOVED IT YOURS LOOKS AWESOME applaudd
The motor in the truck is a fresh 350 out of a 69 concept suburban. It runs real nice, cant wait to see what it will do on the road. Got to get this damn thing painted!!!!
looks really good man,
Its been a while since I have posted anything but the good news is that it is finally painted.
Got the dash and engine compartment wired up, some of the interior parts that I have are in. I need to make some door panels and a center councel next, oh yeah and some carpet. I am also trying to refinish the grill I bought, the anodized aluminum looks like crap on the new paintjob. Anyone know the best way to take that off the grill besides a ton of sanding?
I am also looking for a brake booster and master cylinder for it, something newer than a 1998. Get some brakes and I can see how good the motor runs before snow is on the ground.
I am working on the interior a little more now. I started on my center council, all it needs is some fiberglass, some bondo, sanding, and some paint.

I still have that air ride set up.. everything you need $1000 BRAND NEW... dusty but brand new hasnt been mocked up yet
I got my door panels done. Took me a while to figure out the arm rests, still not sure if I like them yet.
(http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss285/aford78/IMAG0082.jpg) (http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss285/aford78/IMAG0082.jpg)(http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss285/aford78/IMAG0084.jpg) (http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss285/aford78/IMAG0084.jpg)(http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss285/aford78/IMAG0092.jpg) (http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss285/aford78/IMAG0092.jpg)
As for the air ride setup....... I would love to be able to afford it, but I don't have the funds right now. All I could do is a trade of some sort. I am a furnace man so maybe if you are in need of some central air or a new furnace, that could be payment. Let me know if your willing to do some trading.
how about hookin up a gas/wood stove.. need it through the roof.. got the stove and most of the 8" triple wall
I can take a look at it, where do you live?
Battle creek haha....
