rest in peace my brothers.
all were awarded CIB, combat infantrymans badge, the medal i have in my sig. and they were awarded purple hearts, and the bronze star, all posthumously.
i served with them, and i miss the time we spent together.

Yes i would like to thank you all for what you are doing. I was there too. well not as close as most of you are but i was over there. I got to see a lot of water but i did get to hit some land too. But that was to get off the ship for a few days. served 1997-2001. wish you all luck and make it home save.....

Scott Sather was born on 21 June 1973 in Clio, Michigan. Sather joined the United States Air Force in 1992. Sather served in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. On 8 April 2003, while in southern, SSgt Scott Sather, a combat controller, assigned to the 24th Special Tactics Squadron stationed at Pope Air Force Base
in North Carolina, became the first airman killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sather earned seven medals, including the Bronze Star, the Air Medal and the Purple Heart during his Air Force career.
