Title: "LIL" Mule
Post by: spr_chicken on January 21, 2010, 04:47:04 AM
1980 toyota short bed 4x4 frame and axles
1986 toyota ex cab
350 (downey offroad mounts), t350, np205
5.29 gears (front open for now and rear welded)
future plans: hydraulic steering, cage, front locker

body mod: 1980 hood and fenders spliced into the 1986 hood and fenders

the reasons for the mod:  i moved the cab 3'' back on the frame. i moved the motor trans and tcase back 3''. i did this to change the center of gravity of the truck. this body mod allows for more room under the hood for the radiator to be left in the front of the truck. besides its different and the look ==roxx

background: when i first built the truck i was just into boggin. since then i have become more interested in an all around truck. (mud, dunes, trails and rocks and still)

i have the passenger side mounted now. its about as far along as the drivers side. ill try to get pics this weekend. it actually looks a little better than the drivers side. i guess it wont make a difference once i roll it on its side out on a trail.

Nice job on the extended cab. The regular cabs were so small. That little bit of room behind you will make it alot more comfortable.

well ive been working on my waggy the last few days. im gonna use it as a tow vehicle for the toyota. i fixed the rear body mount on it and patched the floor around it. gonna put it back together tonight i hope. then back to the fenders on the "lil' Mule.
