Title: sd card

i have a 4 gig sd card. it says its locked even tho the slider thing is in the unlock position. cant figure it out. anyone got a clue?

put it back in the  item you  use it in, and  unlock it  ==dunno

I just when through the same problem, it is broke and nothing you can do about it. The little plastic locking devise inside is what broke...Memory cards are cheap though so just replace it.

yeah but i got like 250 pics from iraq on it.... that id like to keep. any way to take it apart and maybe rig it to work, long enuf to transfer them files?

You should be able to copy and paste the files into a picture folder on your computer, the lock just keeps you from being able to delete them off the memory card. Just plug it into a card reader, go to My computer, click on the memory card drive, click on one pic so it is highlighted and then press ctrl and A at the same time, this will highlight all pics, then right click and select copy...from there paste it where ever you want.

Dam dude that sucks... I have all my stuff backed up on 3 dif hard drives.......

Like I said you can copy and paste them all day, you just cant delete them off the memory card.
