Operation Tomorrow! ==goodluck
Slick goin to get some cancer cut out from his head/face
prayy my thoughts with ya buddy
good luck speedy recovery
Thanks Arnie! I hav'nt said much about it in here, been weighing pretty heavy me. Don't like Dr's and did'nt see one for about 25 years until this. I have a spot of Basel Cell Carcinoma Skin cancer that started in front of my ear on my right cheek about 2-3 years ago. It is now about 3-4 inches in diameter, and is going into my ear, so it has to be done. Looking at around 5-7 hours of surgery in the morning at McClaren hospital. Suppose to be in there for 3-5 days, but hoping for 2-3 days because my wife is a nurse and I just happen to have a bed here at the house. My docors and my wife are very confident in the surgery, and I hear I have 2 of the best Dr's around.
We apprieciate all your thoughts and prayers,
Will & Katrina ==wgm

I'm only about 65% well now, but I'll still kick your butt at darts or horeshoes. And you know it.
Had a visiting nurse today. and finally got to see the damage. They lied, I ain't pretty anymore. And it looks like Jack The Ripper came after the surgeons left.

Ouch! From the looks of things, it looks like a darn good thing you had this taken care of now! Gald to see you are out and about!!!
Just got home from the Dr, he took out all the staples (5-10). About 20 of the 100 or so stitches in my neck. He took off most of the zeroform (the yellow looking gauze), and told me I no longer need to keep it wrapped, or need a visiting nurse. WooooHoooooo things are almost back to normal
==thumbsup

Glad you are back home :) .....might have to drain it a couple times more...sometimes that happens alot with surgeries...God Bless and get well! Your in our prayers
Had to visit the radiolgist this week and I'm not looking forward to radiology or chemotheraphy. Radiolgist said the patholgy report show that all the cancer was removed and chemo and radiation may not be needed, but he still had to talk to the surgeon. Went and seen the surgeon and he agreed! ;D What a blessing! Looks like prayer does work. Went and seen the plastic surgeon and he says no more bandages are nessessary and I'm healing up rather fast. Thanks to everyone on here who took a minute to pray for me. I was at the mounds opening day riding with Josh and after I got home I thought my wife was going to kill me, but I survived. Bottom line, looks like you guys and gals will just have to put up with me a few more years.
Thanks again everyone, ==wgm Rocks, and so does its members!! 8)
So glad to hear your good news! ==congrads
Glad to hear you are doing well.
Glad to hear your good news! AMEN to that!!!
Glad to hear you are doing well
Well I been seeing a dermatologist for several more small spots on my arms face and back. He treated about 25 small spots with liquid nitrogen, and found 3 bigger ones that he wanted to have a biopsy on. Biopsys came back positive for squimish cell cancer, another bad cancer so they want to take a more aggressive approach. I signed up for SSI after the 1st surgery and was denied because my wife made to much money but she is now out of work for medical reasons and will not be returning. Her job at the county jail gave her a referral for an SSI lawyer to help her get her benefits, and when they heard about me they offered me legal aid also. I just had my phone interview with them and should start getting benefits and insurance from them in 4-6 weeks. At that time I'll be getting more treatment to try and finally lick this thing. Never thought I'd be retired at 48 yrs old, but here I am.
good luck slick,

The pay would go back to last summer.
Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers. Also something going on with my lower back, causing numbness in my right leg when I walk more than 200 yards. Doctor took x-rays this week, find out about that in the next week or so.
