Title: 06 duramax smoking

 ++peace my o6 chevy is smoking like crazy. black smoke when i stomp on it , white blue smoke around 2100 rpm, not making or burning oil, im thinking it may be the turbo, im to broke to take it to the dealer , any 1 got any suggestions,

if its under 100,000 take it in.. sounds like injectors to me

 ++peace 147,xxx miles on it, its the 6.6 and i  hope its not the injectors i was told $700 each for new ones

Call my dad n talk to him, get another opinion hes been a deisel mechanic for 20 yrs 989-729-0700 ask for rob ==np

buddy just went through the EXACT same thing....his was the injectors....about $4500 to fix

thats not too bad.. there like $295-$400 depends on where u go... Lb7 have alot more labor cost but LBZ with be cheaper do to easier access to the injector...

they upped the warranty on the injectors to 200,000 miles

usually the 06's injectors lasted a while.  When is the last time you changed the fuel filter.. did you just fill up somewhere, have you checked your boots for any cracks or leaks. do you have any engine codes

any oil in the tail pipe?   if there is turbo might be on its way out...

I'm pretty sure it's fixed by now. The original post was 2010.
