Yes, that's it. Where do I pour it in at, how about right there on that thing that slides out?
bump
what internet browser are you using? what is the error your getting?
Internet explorer 8, and I'll have to try and download the upgrades again to get the codes.
you need a blank cd & a bowl of ==dew marinate the cd in the ==dew overnight, leave it out in the sun for a hour, flip it over & put it in the cd drive, should fix everything...
jk, is the windows on your computer registered w/ microsoft?
IDK if its registered or not.. how can I tell? Weve had this pc 3 yrs, and I just noticed last night that it hasnt allowed a windows upgrade since 9-10-2009, so something happened right about then. Every attempt to download an upgrade since then has failed. Pc needs these upgrades bad, wont play videos no more n starts up slow.
i got windows 7 with a good product key f/s ;D but idk other than that,
i know my old computer wouldnt update because someone i had fix my computer used a cd & product key that was already registered on another computer.
go to the start menu and then right click on my computer then go to properties then see what is says for the registered to is.
Usually with bad key it doesn't say nothing just does not do manual updates. When you need to register it usually notifies on boot up but still works fine. Did you change any hardware at this time. Some times this will change the pc footprint and unregistered windows. But it should tell you this.
Does it say anything about windows not being genuine at boot up?
What is the error message when you try to manual update.
Auto update always used to work with bad key or not.
Are auto updates on in control panel?
On IE8 you can goto IE site (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx) and down load IE from there.
Or maybe put in Service pack 3 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5B33B5A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4&displaylang=en) and see what happens.
I dont know. Back it up and wack it. LOL

Sounds like you need to disable all firewalls especially Norton Firewall. Then look at update history. Find update that is causing error. Then update unchecking this update. Then try to download this update manually. Something like that. LOL There is alot of different stuff on the net.
0x80070652 - ERROR_INSTALL_ALREADY_RUNNING
Error 80070652 means that a previous installation has not been completed
successfully. Restarting computer generally fixes this issue.

The 646 Update error, or the "Windows Unknown Error 646" is often shown on Vista when people try and download updates through Windows.

Even the windows firewall? ???
Why not. Most firewall should have automatic rules created for windows operations, but maybe Microsoft has a new executable or port going on. Might not even what is going on. Check here and just read you should find something real close to you. Dont believe nothing to you read it at least twice. LOL
