Hey everyone, this sites awesome! (Kyle brought me here - Recovery One!) figured id post my car, since im in the process of getting a truck... my lifetime project, my first car ( i got it before i got my license, when i was 15) and will spend the rest of my life changing it over and over again... its a 79 camaro z28, currently has the original 350/4speed (borg warner super t-10) factory 3:73 posi rear... i have everything ive ever taken off of it, currently has a weiand stealth intake and holley 650 carb, cheap flowtech headers with purple hornies (its loud, and i love that) N50-15 tires out back on cragars. interior is shot, body needs help. have a 78 350 4bo;t main im building for it, but ultimately will have an old chevy 409 in it! Kyle bought and transported the hood (fiberglass lift off l-88 hood, $30) it all needs alot of work but thats what my whole lifes for (well, after my wife, and work, and sleep)
Nice ride! Welcome to a great site!!
409 isnt very period correct...to each his own tho. have a 79 camaro, 11 years and counting!
==thumbsup nice chevvv
409's are preaty rare, only seen a hand full in running condition, expensive from what i've seen too, but if that's what you want go for it man it's your rig run what you want. the gen 2 f bodies are by far my favorite, (been wanting one for a while just haven't found one in my price range) and i know i wauldn't leave the stock drive train in there either, keep updated on what you swap out and keep the pics comming
very nice car, as soon as my blazer sells im buying an 85 z28!
this is an awsome car!! the only muscle car im allowed to even touch, and better yet, GET TO RIDE IN!!!!!! ==wazup

thats sad..... looks like i really need to update the bumpers then... and tear off all the fenders and make a full tube chasis and call it a buggy instead of a truck so people will stop copyin me dammit....
And i need to finish my truck and work on MY CAR which THIS thread is about... got front axles and pig in today, not much else
rolling yet?
got some front fenders for that car, not z-28, up in the attic if you ever need. just sold a cowl hood for it

niceness will come, but enjoy the way it is now. i could work on my car for days when i got it, now that its 'nice' everything i do cost money! (79 maro, bigblock, nitrous, lots of fiberglass)
well, i havent had anything to update, i actually forgot i had this thread..
but my 355 idea is no more, i bought a 402 BBC out of a 72 camaro that i will build for it instead.
and i need VINTAGE bbc parts (old tunnel ram, factory chevy heads like covette or older camaro perf. heads, etc)
i believe its only a 2bolt block but not too worried about that, those big blocks can throw some power down!
Hell yea man! I love those z28's
wow that looks just like the 78 trans am in my power tech class
