Title: Any one ever heard of Electrix Brand?
Post by: Cannaert on September 14, 2010, 09:54:39 PM
I just pick one up over the weekend for my son. Did it on a Dumb Dad move ;D and told him not to tell his mom.
The thing is damn great for a out of the box R/C.  Came with everything and I mean everything and the best part is it was only $120 bucks out the door.  I did get a better battery charger than the crappy 14 hour plug in the wall on that came with it.

Any one Looking to get in to the Hobby or a Child in the family is a awesome r/c for the price.  Oh the other cool thing is the ESC can handle down to a 10 or 12 (cant remember now) Turn motor and if you kill the ESC a new one is onlt 40 bucks unlike a lot of other ones.

Well I know it been a wile since I posted this up.
But they now have 2 more modles.
They share a lot of the same parts witch is cool. Also found out that you can put a lot of other brands parts on these as well.
Very cool to know.

Oh an a ESC for one is 25 bucks and it can handle up to a 12 turn motor witch is pretty cool for he price and.

Finely got a pic of it. My kid has beat the tar out of it and it work great every time.
The other day he Jumped it off a 5 foot retaining wall on accident (not looking at what was around him) and it landed on one of the front arms and it didn't break. I am very impressed by the durability.  Body is junk but I have a new one from a RC10 that is going to go on it.

Here it is as of today
Put a JConcepts Illuzion body on it for a RC10GT, A set of 4 IMEX 2.8 ROAD RUNNER tires and a set of 4 IMEX 2.8 EAGLE BLACK JATO REARS for it. Put a Duratrax Photon Speed 2 Motor and a Duratrax Auto-Sport with Reverse ESC in it. I have a 15 turn Venom motor and a Novak XRS ESC for it but I am waiting for him to get better at driving the Car before I put that in. But Over all this is still the best car for a starting out person. Needs tweaking but that is to be expected on all R/Cs.
