during the summer i just run straight water, keeps the motor a lil cooler, then this time of year i open the radiator cap up and hook a garden hose up to a heater core line and flush it out good for about 20 min, then drain the water out and add antifreeze, works good for me every year

To each their own I say. To me I prefer the peace of mind with new stuff. I'd rather spend 12 bucks for "good" stuff in a store and know I'll have no issues than unknown quality from somewhere else and....uht- Oh!

I run straight water also, but I had just added most likely half gallon of 50/50 antifreeze. Do you guys think I should drain it and add straight 50/50?
