Title: Project Rosie the Wrangler
Post by: HoPpeR on December 23, 2010, 12:34:19 AM
Whats up everyone.  I gotta say this site is pretty cool.  Haven't been on it very long show i am still tring to figure it all out, anyway.  I got a 1987 wrangler I bought in late march of 2010.  I plan on fully restoring this baby as it is my first project like it.  It has a chevy 350, 700r4, 9 in. Curry w/posi, 4 in. lift. 33's under it.  To say the least it needs a lot of work even though it doesn't look like it.  It hinds well.  I bought it to be a family fun toy that my wife and kids could go cuising in when i am at work and when i am home to going to silver lake dunes, hit the trails, whatever comes our way that trip.  I am thinking of pulling the 350 out and putting a newer chevy 5.3 in, so it would easier and more reliable for the wife.  I have in mind a lot of other upgrades, since thats what its all about right lol.  Let me know what u guys think or if u have suggestions let me I would appreciate it.  I will do my best to keep everyone up to date.  Thanks HoPpeR

Well heres my first update.  I ended up pulling the motor and installing a 94 lt1 in it.  It is setting in the jeep.  Now I am almost done with the wiring thanks to a lt1 swap site that tells everything u need to know.  It was a good thing I started this swap because I found a lot of other issues with the jeep.  ==rant  I will get some pics later.
